YOUNG sportsmen were given a night to remember when Warrington Wolves star Matt King presented their prizes for the Warrington Sports Personality junior awards.
The achievements of footballer Adam Davies, swimmer James Guy, Lymm High School under-15s rugby union team and Rylands Sharks under-11s rugby league team were rewarded at the Halliwell Jones Stadium. Organised by the Warrington Guardian, this was the 15th year of Warrington Sports Personality and Wolves' new signing from Australia was delighted to be involved.
He said: "Sport is the best thing in my life and I'm glad to see so many young kids having fun.
"I've got five older brothers and they always grew up with a football in their hands.
"So that's all I've ever done and it's been great for me."
