A CULCHETH restaurant held its Grand Opening event over the weekend, with a number of special guests.
Indi Ayan, which specialises in Bangladeshi and Indian food, opened back in March, but hosted its Grand Opening event at the weekend, and it was a success.
The restaurant, on Common Lane, invited guests such as Andrew Stephenson MP, the minister for the HS2 railway, to its event.
As well as being an event for the restaurant, the opening of Indi Ayan also served as a fundraiser for Culcheth Library, with a total of £500 being raised for the library.
When asked about the timing of the event, restaurant owner Foyzun Nur, said: "I've not pushed the advertisement and publicity because I wanted to take things slowly.
"But we're ready now."
Food on offer at the Grand Opening event included traditional Bangladeshi dishes such as chicken roasts, as well as British-Indian cuisine like chicken tikka masala and korma, too.
Indi Ayan said: "We would like to say thank for everyone who has attended the grand opening and the charity event.
"And thank you for the support we got from the locals."
