WARRINGTON Wolves fell to a sucker punch at Wakefield as they lost for the fifth time in a row.
Kelepi Tanganoa touched down the winning converted try four minutes from time.
It was the only period in the game in which Wakefield held the lead.
Wire found it hard to shake off Wakefield, having taken the lead four times and on each occasion being pegged back.
Tries from Daryl Clark and Gareth Widdop in the first half were cancelled out by efforts from James Batchelor and Matty Ashurst, with Stefan Ratchford and Mason Lino successful with all the conversions.
Again Connor Wrench and Matty Ashton had tries matched by Batchelor and Hood, all converted.
The sting in the tail came with four minutes remaining when Tanginoa powered over to give the hosts the lead for the first time.
