SCHOOL councillors from Penketh were on a mission to raise awareness of mental health last week.
The children at St Vincent’s Catholic Primary School were working hard to make a different as part of Mental Health Awareness Week 2022.
A buddy bench was created by anti-bullying councillors who wanted to tackle the theme of loneliness.
They created the bench for children who feel like they want someone to talk to during play times.
The school councillors also led a whole school assembly to raise awareness of mental health and made badges to sell throughout break times.
They raised an impressive £62 for the Mental Health Foundation.
Staff member Miss Flynn said: “We are very proud of the awareness that the children are raising in school and wanted to celebrate this.”
