A PUPPY who came into the care of a Warrington animal charity may lose his sight.

Labrador cross Ben was brought to Warrington Animal Welfare (WAW) along with his siblings who were all 'terribly sick' with Parvovirus.

The team managed to save most of the puppies and they all found their forever homes – but five-month-old Ben has been left with ongoing medical issues.

He has diabetes and is sadly losing his sight.

A WAW spokesperson said: “We have booked him in with a specialist for an assessment for his Cataracts, which is going to cost us around £500-£600.

“Ben is currently in a wonderful foster home with one of our volunteers, he is a lovely happy playful boy he will spend hours chasing his ball and playing with his toys and curling up on the couch for a cuddle.”

His foster dad said: “It is such a shame to see such a confident young man becoming more and more frightened as his sight worsens.

“We are heartbroken to see him no longer playing with his ball, which he loved so much.

“He still loves to play with the other dogs and sitting on us for lots of cuddles.”

The WAW team is doing everything they can to get him back to a confident and playful puppy and make sure he has a wonderful life.
