Warrington Guardian Best Of 2022 top eight nail salons revealed

As part of our ‘The Best of 2022’ competition, we wanted to know who does the best nails.

It could have been a salon or a technician that does nails best in your eyes,

It was no easy feat narrowing it down, but thanks to your votes in the newspaper, online and on social media we whittled it down to a shortlist of just seven who stood out from the rest in your eyes.

Now we need your help to choose an overall Best For Nails winner from our shortlist (in no particular order) and why they are your favourite.

And there are three ways to vote:

1. Search for the Best Of post on our Warrington Guardian Facebook or Instagram pages and comment under the post with the name of your winner = 1 vote

2. Name your favourite in the comments section on this article via our website = 2 votes

3. Purchase a copy of this week’s Warrington Guardian (May 5 edition) and fill in the entry form = 5 votes

More than one entry can be submitted per person but you will be asked to provide your own unique reference code for each entry to avoid duplication eg if your name is Smith you may wish to write Smith123 or HS21! as your code. Voting officially opens today, Thursday, and closes at midnight on Monday.

We will be announcing the winner next week, and keep an eye out for our next Best Of appeal on our social media pages on Friday when we will be asking readers which the best pub is.

The absolute best salon in town, according to those who nominated Bamboo. The talented nail technicians there are said to make a brilliant team, with amazing designs and product ranges, in a vibrant and welcoming salon which is always alive with laughter and good conversation.

One customer said: “These girls are not just your normal nail techs they are perfectionists at doing nails and nail art in any design, detail or shape. They are all so talented.”

Studio Bonita, Rylands Street, Warrington town centre

Studio Bonita are very well thought of

If you head to the town centre check out Studio Bonita, where you can find a warm and relaxing atmosphere.

The studio was a popular choice for nominations in our Best Of category, with one customer adding: “Chantelle always comes up with a beautiful set when given free rein which I tend to let her do because I’m too indecisive! The nails last so long and Chantelle is one of the kindest and most genuine people I have met. I couldn’t go anywhere else.”

Her nails are very creative

Fabulous designs and lovely company from a true professional with a keen eye for detail and ‘the best of the best’ is how EmsPrettyNails is described.

Eighteen-year-old Emily Pearce, who runs her nail salon from a log cabin in her back garden in Great Sankey, has previously featured in the Warrington Guardian having been shortlisted in the best nail technician category at the UK Hair and Beauty Awards 2022.

One client said: “She has the most kindness and patience with her clients and always goes above and beyond. You always leave with a set of nails you love.”

The Pink Room, Hood Manor, Great Sankey

The team is described as 'awesome'

A salon that ‘smashes out incredible designs every time’ is why the Pink Room was nominated in this category.

The team there received many nominations and were described as an awesome group of ladies who are all highly skilled and very professional.

One customer said: “First class work and fantastic occasion. I’m always over the moon with my nails when I leave.” Another added: “They always go above and beyond with crazy designs and nothing you ask is ever turned away.”

Onyx is a popular salon in Lymm

Nothing is too much trouble for the team at Onyx, according to their loyal customers.

Another popular choice in our Best for Nails category, one client told the Guardian: “They girls kill it every time. I do a 70-mile round trip just to spend time with these ladies and have beautiful nails.

“They are a great bunch of girls, it’s like meeting up with friends.”

Chloe Leyland is described as 'outstanding'

Chloe Leyland at CNL Nails received a high number of nominations from readers for being ‘warm, accommodating and always smiling, and great at her job’.

Her work is described as ‘perfection at its best’.

One nomination said: “She is outstanding and always listens to us as customers. She will often go in early or work late to support us.

“It is just a joy to have my nails done with her.”

The ‘super talented’ Della Jones

With 20 years experience, home-based Della Jones of Oh So Hasty Nail and Beauty is described as ‘super talented’.

Loyal customers who have been visiting Della for several years told the Guardian that her talent as a nail technician means they have never wanted to go anywhere else.

One said: “Della has been doing my nails for more than 10 years, she’s amazing. Not only is she super talented but I always feel like I’ve had a therapy session afterwards.”

Others added: “I always leave her salon feeling gorgeous. She never fails to make my nails look stunning. She is so friendly and professional.”

India has created an inclusive environment

Award-winning India Clutton, who operates under the name Talons and Tarot, is not only a nail artist but a ‘crazy, talented superstar’ who has developed a consistent and loyal customer base.

That’s according to one of her clients, who told us: “She has worked extremely hard to build an inclusive environment where all people can feel included and accepted, and express themselves in whichever way they want.

“For the past few years she has consistently placed in the best nail tech category for the Hair & Beauty Awards but has yet to be featured within Warrington and I feel that this would be the perfect opportunity for her to showcase how amazing she is.”
