PADGATE and Woolston Walking Day will be held for the first time in three years next month.

The popular event was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

But event organisers have confirmed that it will be returning for 2022.

Padgate Walking Day will take place on Saturday, June 25, with full details to follow nearer to the date.

Last year’s event had been scheduled to take place only five days after the planned end of Covid-19 restrictions in the UK, with the related uncertainty seeing it scrapped.

In 2020, it was amongst the numerous fixtures of the town’s calendar which were not held amidst the initial outbreak of the virus.
