AWAY games against Catalans Dragons have been among the highlights of the rugby league calendar for Warrington Wolves fans for more than a decade now.

Since an army of around 3,500 Wire supporters descended on Perpignan for their side’s first trip there in 2006, the club have always been well followed for most of their away games against Les Dracs.

On Saturday, Wire fans will be able to watch their team at the Stade Gilbert Brutus in person for the first time since pre-Covid, with last year’s 24-8 victory played behind closed doors.

The team’s indifferent current form and the unsavoury, violent scenes that occurred the last time Wire fans were in Perpignan back in 2019 may have on the numbers that travel this time around, but there will still be plenty who jet off to France to watch the team at the weekend.
