AN exciting fitness and workout experience has been launched in Orford.

Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub has undergone a dramatic transformation for the launch of FITBOX and is now a ‘state-of-the-art’ fitness space.

FITBOX, exclusively available at LiveWire, is a ‘dynamic boutique-style’ boxing and functional workout experience and is open to all.

Warrington Guardian:

No previous boxing experience is required and a mix of sessions will be available – including dedicated sessions for under-16s, families and women-only sessions.

Sessions will incorporate 12 rounds of exercises, alternating between functional moves and bag work over a 45-minute period.

Following the transformation of the facility, a focal point of the studio is a large hand-painted mural on one wall created by Warrington artist Sarah Harris who collaborated with some young people taking part in LiveWire’s Holiday Activities and Food Scheme.

  • Boxing bags
  • Training ring
  • Functional training equipment such as kettlebells, battle-ropes, power bags, slam balls, and more
  • Curved treadmills
  • Air Bikes
  • Specialist boxing bags
  • Digital LED lighting system to create an immersive experience with fast-paced moving and strobing lighting for dynamic/up-tempo classes

Warrington Guardian:

Emma Hutchinson, managing director of LiveWire, said: “The response since we revealed the studio from members has been fantastic and we are so excited to finally open the doors to FITBOX.

“Everyone involved has been working so hard over the past few months getting ready to launch FITBOX to our members.

“We look forward to welcoming our customers to this new space and hope they will be as excited as we are about this new addition to our exercise programme.”

Warrington Guardian:

Warrington Borough Council’s cabinet member for leisure and communities, Cllr Tony Higgins, said: “This is a fantastic new initiative by LiveWire.

“They have created a really innovative way to get people of all ages more active, giving them the opportunity to experience a different type of activity in a safe and welcoming environment.

“It’s also great to see that young people from the local community have been involved in creating artwork for the new space.

Warrington Guardian:

“It gives it a sense of real community spirit and helps us to strengthen pride in where we live.

“I would encourage everyone to take advantage of the new studio and the expertise of LiveWire’s instructors and give it a go!”

FITBOX sessions will be included for all-inclusive members at no additional charge.

Members are able to utilise the space for their own workouts when the studio is not in use for organised sessions.

Non-members will be able to access this space on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Bookings for FITBOX are now live and the timetable can be found on LiveWire’s website.
