ONE of the biggest secrets is right under our noses in Old Market Place.

The Secret Comedy Club transforms the place into a comedy venue welcoming renowned comedians.

The catch though is that you don’t know who you will be seeing perform until you get there.

Co-organisers Chris Hodgkinson of HC Promotions and Golden Square centre director Ian Cox are best pleased with what they are bringing to the table.

“I really think the element of surprise adds to the evening as until our guests walk through the door they do not have a clue who will be on stage apart from it being a recognised personality," said Chris.

"It’s something different and the people who have attended like the concept of not knowing.

“You only know you're in for a fantastic night, plenty of belly laughs all for a bargain price to see the biggest names around.

“With the average price for a comedy show in Warrington and the north west being £10 per person to see up and coming young comedians, The Secret Comedy Club has committed to bringing you the very best instantly recognisable household names, high-end TV performers for the price of just £12.50 per person.

“There is nowhere else that brings such value for money entertainment.”

On Friday, March 25, the club welcomed comedic powerhouse Freddie Quinne, Britain’s Got Talent’s Daliso Chaponda, headliner Dan Nightingale and TV favourite Seann Walsh in a sell-out event, like the other clubs they did last year with around 300 in attendance.

Chris, a former Woolston High School pupil, continued: “That line up will rival anywhere else in the country.

"We are bringing a new concept to Warrington and it is going down a treat with guests.

“Our latest event went down a massive hit from all that attended the excitement to find out who our celebrity comedians were was unreal.

“The audiences are never disappointed with our line up and the next one in May is huge again. People had better be quick to purchase tickets for the next one as it will sell out again"

Tickets for next month’s show can be found here.
