Episode 6 in series 2 of Warrington Wolves cine film footage from the 1960s and 1970s recorded by Wire fans Cecil Waller and his son Mike from Appleton...
THIS latest clip, below, is from a narrow Wire league win at Keighley on March 28, 1976.
Full-back Derek Finnigan, centre Ronnie Clarke, winger John Bevan, prop Bobby Wanbon and second-rower Mike Nicholas feature prominently in the footage.
Alex Murphy's men won 9-5 thanks to three tries from Alan Gwilliam, Steve Hesford and the previously mentioned Nicko.
It was 15 years before The Wire visited Lawkholme Lane again.

There was little rest for the players in primrose and blue though because two days after returning from Yorkshire the exact same starting line-up and two subs played host to Oldham at Wilderspool Stadium.
Team: Derek Finnigan; Denis Curling, Steve Hesford, Ronnie Clarke, John Bevan; Alan Gwilliam, Parry Gordon; Brian Butler, Joe Price, Bobby Wanbon, Mike Nicholas, Tommy Martyn, Ian Potter. Subs: Dave Sutton, Mike Peers.
After the excitement of a trophy laden 1973-74 season and successive trips to Wembley, the 1975-76 season was something of a damp squib.
