ANOTHER patient has sadly died at Warrington Hospital after contracting coronavirus.
The news was confirmed this afternoon, Friday, by Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in its daily Covid-19 briefing.
As a result, it means that the trust’s virus death toll to date has now risen to 596.
At present, 87 patients at the Lovely Lane site are receiving care after testing positive for Covid in the past 14 days or less.
Of this number, two are in the hospital’s intensive care unit.
This is a rise of three patients in total in the past 24 hours, although the number in the ICU remains the same.
