POLICE have issued CCTV footage of a man wanted by police after a teenager was punched and kicked in the head in Warrington town centre.
The 19-year-old was assaulted on Bridge Street at around 4.30am on Wednesday, December 29, after fighting involving a group of men broke out.
He was rushed to Warrington Hospital having suffered a cut to the back of his head during the incident.
An 18-year-old man, from Warrington, was previously arrested on suspicion of assault but he has since been released on conditional bail.
Cheshire Police are now appealing for the man pictured to come forward.
Police constable Lyndsey Travis said: “Since the assault took place, we have been speaking to numerous witnesses and reviewing CCTV footage.
“As part of those enquiries, we’re keen to speak to this man in the image as he may be able to assist further with the investigation.
“If you know who might be or have any information about the assault please get in touch.
“I would also appeal directly to the man in the photo to get in touch.”
