A BBC thriller that was filmed in Great Sankey has aired.
Rules of the Game, a four-part thriller about sexual politics in the modern workplace, aired last night on BBC One and episode two is on tonight, Wednesday at 9pm.
The Forge Entertainment film crews were in Mossdale Close in Great Sankey in June to capture scenes.
And one of the actors there was Maxine Peake who stars as a hard-headed manager at a family run business in the north west.
The production team were on the street for a number of days.
At the time, a Mossdale Close resident said: "It was very exciting on the first day, we couldn't beleive the amount of equipment and people involved in filming just a few scenes.
Episode three and four will air at 9pm on Tuesday, January 18 and Wednesday, January 19.
Writer Ruth Fowler said: “When we conceived this show it was during the Weinstein scandal, and I was concerned it might have dated in the interim. How sadly wrong I was.
"I’m honoured the BBC and everyone else championing this story did not let it fade away as its relevance has become even more acute.
"Many women’s experiences, including my own, inspired this fictional show - with the added benefit that in the retelling no women were harmed, maimed or exposed to Harvey. I’m delighted the brave, wonderful and tenacious Maxine Peake is on board to help tell this story."
The production is being supported by Warrington Borough Council and Creative England.
