WARRINGTON Hospital sadly saw the deaths of a further four coronavirus patients over the weekend.
The sad news was confirmed this afternoon, Monday, by Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in its latest Covid-19 briefing.
It means that as a result, the trust’s virus death toll to date has now risen to 595.
At present, 99 patients at the Lovely Lane site are receiving care after testing positive for Covid in the past 14 days or less.
Of this number, four are in the hospital’s intensive care unit.

This is a rise of eight patients since Friday, although the number in the ICU remains the same.
However, the hospital did see the discharge of an additional 21 patients over the weekend after they recovered from coronavirus.
This takes the trust’s Covid-19 discharge total since the start of the pandemic to 2,806.
