TWO Christmas events at Gulliver’s World have been cancelled due to the uncertainty surrounding coronavirus.

Twixmas and New Year’s Eve special events from December 28 – 31 have been called off at the theme park.

On social media, a spokesperson for Gulliver’s World said: “This is due to the rapidly changing pandemic situation, growing uncertainty, impact on staffing levels and travel concerns.

“We know this is disappointing news, however, we feel this is the appropriate decision to make. Our number one priority is the well-being of our guests and employees."

Customers who booked tickets or breaks for the events will be emailed with detailed information on how they can transfer their booking or receive a full refund.

They added: “We will be in touch with each guest, you don’t need to call our hotline team, just double-check your email folders including junk and spam folders over the coming days.

“Although we won’t be able to finish the year in the way we wanted, we are still excited about the prospects of 2022 and all the adventures on the horizon.

“Thank you for your support these past 12 months, we know this has been a challenging year for many families across the UK. We remain committed to bringing you giant adventures and we really hope you can join us in 2022.”
