ONE of Britain’s more recognisable charity fundraisers is heading through Warrington tomorrow.

Speedo Mick – real name Michael Cullen – will be walking through the town as he starts the final week of an epic, 2,000-mile trek across the UK and Ireland.

Warrington Town FC have confirmed he will be walking around the pitch at half time of their home game against Radcliffe at Cantilever Park tomorrow evening.

Cullen has spent the past five months walking around the UK wearing nothing but a pair of swimming trunks in aid of his own charity, the SpeedoMick Foundation.

At the time of writing, his trek had raised more than £136,000.

Having started on Scotland’s Western Isles, Cullen made his way through Edinburgh and Glasgow before crossing the Irish Sea to Belfast, touring Ireland before ending up in Dublin.

He then crossed back over to North Wales, made his way down to Cardiff and crossed back into England, where his route has taken in most major towns and cities.

Cullen is due to finish his epic mission in his home city of Liverpool later this week.
