ST Monica's Catholic Primary School runners had cause for double celebration on Saturday.
Two of their teams were crowned winners of the Neville Jones Warrington Schools Cross Country League.
After the third and final round in the cold and rain at Walton Hall and Gardens, the Appleton school took the team titles in the Year 4 and 5 boys' contest as well as the Year 6 girls' competition.
The other team winners at junior level were Culcheth Community Primary School in the girls' Year 4 and 5 age group, and Grappenhall's St Wilfrid's C of E Primary School in the boys' Year 6 event.
