HEAVY traffic is being reported on the M6 following a crash this afternoon, Wednesday.
The accident, involving two cars, occurred on the northbound carriageway on Thelwall Viaduct.
Two lanes are currently closed and queueing traffic is stretching back to junction 19 for Northwich and Knutsford.
Lanes three and four, of four, are closed, with travel time estimated to be around 45 minutes.

Traffic is also slow on the M56 heading eastbound as a result up to junction nine for the Lymm Interchange.
Also impacted are routes through south Warrington, including London Road, Chester Road and Knutsford Road.
