A TEENAGER has been told she will not be sent to custody after a spate of attacks towards police officers.
The 17-year-old girl from Warrington, who cannot be named for legal reasons, hurled racist abuse, spat at and assaulted officers on three separate occasions.
The first occurred on February 3 this year at Wigan North Western railway station, when she committed a racially aggravated offence towards a police officer.
She also committed an assault by beating of a police officer by grabbing his thumb, causing it bend back and swell.
A second assault at the same location saw her spit at a second officer for British Transport Police.
On March 7, the defendant assaulted two other male police officers in Warrington.
And again on October 20, she assaulted two female police officers on School Brow.
After this offence, she was taken to Runcorn Custody Suite where she then committed a racially aggravated offence towards a police officer.
The teenager pleaded guilty to all offences when she appeared at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
Here, district judge Nicholas Sanders sentenced her to a youth rehabilitation order for 12 months.
She must also pay a £22 victim surcharge.
