THE countdown is on.

As the days whittle down, the number of events surrounding the festive period are rising.

And for this weekend, we have rounded up five events where you can get festive across Warrington.

Christmas fair, St Elphin's Church

A fair and grand raffle takes place at the church this Saturday, November 20.

It runs between 11am and 3pm with the grand raffle to be drawn at 2.30pm.

There will be handmade crafts, gift stall, jewellery, book shop stall, cakes, refreshments, handmade cards, jigsaws and books, tombola and China stall.

Winter fair, Grappenhall Heys Walled Garden

Stalls will be set up in the Janet Richards Glasshouse between 11am and 3pm this Saturday, November 20.

They include Have a Go group crafts, Thoughtful Botanicals, Lucinda Brito, Paper Town Crafts, The Earth Skills Project and Woolly Willow Creations.

Christmas mini-market, Woolston

The Christmas mini-market takes place this Saturday, November 20 at The Church of the Ascension in Woolston from 1pm to 3.30pm.

There will be many stalls like tombola, bottle bag stall, Christmas stall and refreshments available. Admission is £1 for adults and children go free.

Christmas and craft fayre, St. Mary’s Church, Great Sankey

They will be hosting a Christmas and Craft Fayre on Saturday, November 20 between 12.30pm - 4.30pm.

There will be homemade cakes, children’s crafts, adult and children’s tombola’s, fresh turkey barms, refreshments and a visit from Santa at 3.30pm. There will also be a whole range of stallholders selling crafts and gifts.

Reverend Jeremy Tear, pioneer team vicar for St. Mary’s said: “We are looking forward to welcoming many people to our fayre this Saturday. It promises to be a very special event in our beautiful building. Do come and buy your Christmas presents, and help raise much-needed funds for our church”.

The fayre is expected to be busy so St. Mary’s are encouraging people to bring and wear a face mask.

Christmas fair, Cinnamon Brow

Cinnamon Brow Farm Club, on Perth Close, will host the fair from 10am to 2pm this Saturday, November 20.

Attendees can purchase crafted goods, beauty products, gifts and cakes with refreshments also available.

Stalls are available at £7 each, with all proceeds going towards the centre’s new ‘inclusive’ play area.
