WALTON TV star Martin Roberts is part of the cast for this year’s Strictly The Real Full Monty.

The face of Homes Under The Hammer is on the show which has joined forces with Strictly Come Dancing.

The key message of the show is to raise awareness of checking for cancers where it often is missed.

“Don’t forget the message about this isn’t about us getting our kit off at all, it’s about you going to the doctor for any signs of any issues especially in the private areas,” Martin – the former Stockton Heath Primary and Appleton Grammar School student – said on Twitter.

“Whatever it is, just to the doctor. Any embarrassment you might feel is not half as bad as the illnesses you might get if you don’t or might stop in their tracks if you go earlier rather than later.”

After two months of training, Martin, who grew up on Cranleigh Close geared up for action last night.

“It’s crazy rehearsals all day,” he added.

“It’s been amazing. Thank you all for your messages of support.”

Joining Martin is EastEnders actress Laila Morse, Ex-Strictly dancers and partners James and Ola Jordan, Blue singer Duncan james, model Christine McGuiness, Olympian Colin Jackson, Loose Women star Brenda Edwards and Love Island’s Teddy Soares and Demi Jones.

Fans will be able to watch it in December.
