FOUR Warrington Gymnastics Club members have represented the north west at a national competition.

Ellie Schwarze, Kiera Woods, Mia Hampton and Daisy Clayton gave a solid performance and placed seventh overall at the National Classic Challenge in Guildford.

Two of the girls won individual awards – Mia and Ellie’s routines on beam and floor respectively were recognised as being the most memorable in both disciplines.

Closer to home, several club members were in action at the North West Vault and Floor Championships in Liverpool, with many competing for the first time.

In the pre-novice category, Nevaeh Walbrooke was second in Cheshire & Merseyside and fourth overall on vault, with teammate Sienna Brown just behind her in fifth.

For the nine-year-olds, Megan Beesley was fifth in the county on floor while in the next age group up, Tilly Wilkinson was first on floor and third overall while Amaya Downes was third on vault.

The pre-novice age 11 group saw Grace Davie come second in Cheshire & Merseyside on vault and third on floor, placing her third overall.

For the novices, Bella Morgan was crowed all around county champion for the age nine group – she placed first on floor for the county and region and was second overall in the north west.

Heidi Schwarze was first on vault for the county and third place overall in the age 10 section while the age 11 group saw Zoe Neal take second place on floor, vault and overall in the county.

Bethany Morris was also crowned all around Cheshire & Merseyside champion in the age 12 competition after winning the vault and finishing second on floor. She was third overall in the north west.

For the intermediate groups, Phoebe Gannon was second overall in both Cheshire & Merseyside and the north west having finished second on vault and first on floor.

Lucy Higham also finished first on floor for the county and second on vault and overall.

The age 13+ group saw Grace Dickinson take second on floor and Hannah Noon come fourth on vault.

Teammate Olivia March held onto third on vault to place third overall in both the county and the north west.
