A FAMILY run restaurant which specialises in steak in Stockton Heath is now open.

Bavette Steak House, on London Road, recently opened and wants to add to the attraction of the village.

“We came a couple of years ago to the village and we saw the potential here. We see that it is a nice place for steak,” Emrah Bal, 35, said.

“Our background is kitchen and hospitality but we do specialise in steak. The way we do steaks and fresh cooking is the difference.

“We see this as an opportunity for people to have a good steak. “The difference is that we dry out meat out for 28 days, we have dry aged fridges in the restaurant then we cook it.

“There are a lot of good restaurants, it’s always busy and everyone comes to Stockton Heath for nice food. We are different and we want to add to the potential of Stockton Heath and provide more food here.”

Bavette also has a steakhouse in Woolton, Liverpool for the past year, near to where Emrah is based. He also has a background in Turkish restaurants in Liverpool too for the past 10 years.

And Emrah says that people travel 50 – 60 miles to Woolton for their food and he has the same ambitions in Stockton Heath in time.

“People want to come from far away for food here,” he continued.

“I think we are going to do the same in Stockton Heath so people will come from Manchester and Leeds I believe when we establish it properly.”

Emrah – who works with his brothers and cousins – thanks the community for their support so far following their six weeks of renovations.

He added: “I am so pleased that everyone has been so welcoming. Everyone has been so supportive so we will do the same in return for the Stockton Heath community.

“The opening weekend was great with good feedback.

“Everyone’s been really welcome since we’ve been doing the building.

“It feels like a long time coming. With the pandemic, nothing was easy but we are fighting well.”
