THE former Co-op building in Latchford has gone up for sale.
The building has been empty since the supermarket moved into a newly built unit earlier this year.
Now it has gone on the market for £300,000.
The two storey period building, which includes a substantial basement 'benefits from considerable redevelopment potential' according to the sales brochure.
The ground floor comprises a large sales area, annexe side store and rear stores with staff amenity and toilet.
The first floor comprises open floor space that could be developed into multiple residential units, subject to planning.
The brochure adds: "We consider that the property benefits from redevelopment potential, such as the conversion of the ground floor into multiple retail units and the first floor into multiple residential units, subject to planning. However, we have not made any detailed enquiries and interested parties should independently contact Warrington Borough Council planning department in this regard."
