A NATIONAL firm has been praised for backing a Warrington music festival.

Ingevity gave £5k to the River Reeves Foundation before RivFest which brings the best up and coming bands across the north west together for a weekend of music extravaganza in memory of River Reeves.

The organisation provides products and technologies that they say purify, protect, and enhance the world around us.

And Ben Dunne, chair of the River Reeves Foundation is best pleased to have worked with them.

“It has been a privilege to work closely with Ingevity on this year's festival, our first for two years due to Covid,” he said.

“The success of the festival has always relied on sponsorship so that all profits can go directly towards our bursary programme and help disadvantaged young people fulfil their career dreams within the performing and visual arts.

“Their support has enabled the Foundation to set up a River Reeves Bursary Award in six universities across the north west (BIMM Manchester, LIPA, The Royal Northern College of Music, University of Salford, UCEN Manchester and University of Chester).

“The support from Ingevity also helped us deliver a successful Centurion Challenge which saw River's younger brother Quinlan, complete a 100km row in a double with his childhood friend Charlie.

“The lads raised over £5,000 and on the day were kept going with support from Ingevity staff, friends, family and several past and present rowing Olympians including triple Gold-winning medalist Andy Triggs Hodge.”

And Ben has more exciting plans with the help of Ingevity coming up too.

“We are very much looking forward to working closely with Ingevity in the future as we have so many exciting projects in the pipeline. Watch this space!”
