A KESWICK theatre which has seen a surge in popularity for its autumn shows will be making more performances full capacity to meet demand.

People booking seats at Theatre by the Lake can still choose to attend socially-distanced shows. Other shows are sold with social distancing in place, and bookers are being informed that these shows could later alter to full capacity if demand increased.

Home I’m Darling has proved a hit with audiences and critics alike since it opened in Keswick.

A spokesman said: "For the November show, Jacaranda, three performances will be flexed up to full capacity with a further six additional performances becoming Guaranteed Socially Distanced shows."

Those who cannot get to Keswick or are still shielding can take up the theatre’s digital capture of Home I’m Darling by purchasing their ticket online. The digital ticket can be purchased for dates between Saturday October 23 and October 30 inclusive.

Liz Stevenson, artistic director, said: “We’re absolutely delighted that our audiences are coming back in such numbers.

"We’ve worked hard to ensure there are options for everybody to access our work in a variety of different scenarios and that our Covid safety measures are robust, meeting the needs and expectations of our audience.

"We’ve had fantastic feedback from audiences and it’s just wonderful to have the building buzzing with audiences and activity again."
