A NEW cinema room and interactive cocktail bar have opened at a gin distillery near Basingstoke.

Bombay Sapphire has unveiled the new upgrades to its distillery in Laverstoke, which it says will offer visitors a “more immersive and engaging experience” as they learn about the process that makes the famous gin.

The new cinema room will be used to show visitors a film documenting the heritage of Bombay Sapphire, including an overview of the 10 natural botanicals that are sustainably sourced from across the world and used to make the gin.

Bombay Sapphire is also offering visitors a new personal cocktail experience, during which they can create their own cocktail to match their personal taste and preferences.

Basingstoke Gazette:

Visitors can upgrade their experience to a gin masterclass experience, led by a specially trained gin expert.

As part of the improvements, Bombay Sapphire has also launched a new cocktail menu, featuring a variety of gin-based cocktails.

Jay Basson, UK brand home general manager, said: “We're delighted to unveil the updates we’ve made to the distillery, enhanced to ensure visitors have a truly immersive experience as they learn about the exquisite world of Bombay Sapphire and its incredible journey of inspiration, passion and creativity.

“As well as experiencing the brand-new cinema room which provides the perfect build up to the reveal of our iconic glasshouses, guests can now also sample the full range of Bombay Sapphire gins after the distillery tour, including our exciting innovations, which are overseen by our master distiller, Dr. Anne Brock.

“We cannot wait to share the experience and showcase the story of our iconic gin in this idyllic Hampshire setting, right where we make every drop of Bombay Sapphire gin.”
