The final weekly feature with Foster4 sees the launch of the new home-based heroes campaign.

The initiative is aimed at people who are now settled into a more flexible working pattern and a productive work-life balance.

The campaign will highlight the different kinds of fostering that Foster4 carers do and wants to encourage anyone whose rigid working life may have previously been too demanding.

Tara Falcous, marketing and recruitment manager with Foster4, said: “We’re exceptionally proud to launch the home-based heroes campaign today.

“We’ve ensured that our carers are front and centre of the campaign to not only celebrate them, but to make it clear that they are regular, local people, many with day jobs too.

“We hope that this will encourage others to think that they could do it too.”

Using locations across Foster4’s three local authorities, the team are hoping to promote the message that they are a local service run by the local authority for local children and young people.

The campaign’s images were shot at Warrington’s Golden Gates in front of the Town Hall and Warrington Wolves Stadium and Walton Hall and Gardens as well as Runcorn Linnets FC training ground, Whitby Park in Ellesmere Port and Sticky Paws at Barons Quay in Northwich, which are all places that local people know and love.

Tara added: “Foster4’s launch event was held on Tuesday this week at Sticky Paws, which is a venue centrally placed in the heart of the area we cover.

“We used the event to showcase our new flyers, banners and social media ads to a captive audience of families, shoppers and staff, and have created a real buzz among people who are now keen to get started.”

The Foster4 team will be out and about on a campaign roadshow at venues across the borough over the next few months.

Could you be a home-based hero in the making?

Are you now based at home and have more flexibility to undertake the school runs?

Are you settled into a more flexible hybrid working pattern?

Do you work part time?

Are you at home full-time, maybe caring for family or having retired?

Do you have a business you run flexibly?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, Foster4 would love to hear from you.

Foster carers come from all walks of life, many with day jobs and the carers featured in the home-based heroes campaign come from a range of working backgrounds.

There are current and former police officers, warehouse operatives and lorry drivers as well as carers and homemakers, tutors and childminders together with cleaners and HR executives.

Some carers are married, some are single, some are straight, some are gay, some are older, some are younger and some own their homes while some rent.

They all undertake an incredible role as a foster carer.
