TWO suspected crack cocaine dealers have been charged after police made four arrests in a shopping centre.
Plain clothes police officers detained three men – aged 23, 25 and 44 – and a 22-year-old woman in the Cockhedge Centre in Warrington town centre after a foot chase at around 2pm on Monday, October 11.
Cheshire Police have now confirmed that Sakhile Lecheko, of Stafford, and Duncan Adeparusi, of Manchester, have since been charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and supply crack cocaine in connection with the incident.
The pair, aged 25 and 23 respectively, are due to appear before Warrington Magistrates Court later today, Wednesday.
Mark Carey, a 44-year-old man from Liverpool, was previously charged with possession of a class A drug and has been released on bail ahead of a court appearance next month.
Meanwhile, the 22-year-old woman has been released under investigation by the force.
A spokesman for the constabulary said: “At around 2pm on October 11, officers from the Project Servator team were in the area of the Cockhedge Centre when they identified suspicious activity.
“Three men aged 44, 23 and 25 and a woman aged 22 were arrested on suspicion of drugs offences following a foot chase.”
