A MAJOR apartments development in Latchford has nearly been completed.
In total, 189 flats are being constructed on Station Road as part of the Old Station Gardens scheme.
While many residents have already moved in, the final units are expected to become available to occupants from this week.
Builders first moved onto the site, which borders the Cantilever Bridge and the Manchester Ship Canal and was formerly home to a Beers Timber and Building Supplies yard, back in 2019.
The five-storey blocks will house a mixture of 33 one-bedroom apartments, 126 two-bedroom flats and 30 three-bedroom units.
Having previously been vacant since 2006, planning permission for the scheme on the site was granted by Warrington Borough Council in late 2018.
