TIPS on how to improve your home are being offered by experts.

Knutsford’s interior and design shops are busy preparing for their first interior shopping experience.

Knutsford at Home offers free talks and workshops on Saturday, September 18.

Free parking from 10am will be available at Princess, Silk Mill and King Street car parks to encourage more people to come into town.

The event is a collaboration of the growing number of home and interior shops and businesses in the town centre and will offer shoppers inspiration, advice, and ideas as we move into the autumn and winter seasons.

The day’s programme is full of interesting talks, presentations, one-off offers and in some cases fizz and goody bags.

Businesses taking part include Arthur Lee, Deliveroot, Design Equals, Detaljer, Holly Johnson Antiques, Not a Box, Oka, Serenity Designs, Sofas and Stuff, Suzy Watson Designs and Terzetto.

Sandra Curties, Knutsford Town Council’s town centre and marketing manager, said:“The programme for the day is really interesting.

"You can pick up some advice regarding the use of paint in updating your home, fabric mood board inspiration, the use of houseplants to choosing the best glass for your wine.

"Visit all 11 or choose what matches your home and interior plans the best. Of course. you can always enjoy the town afterwards.”

Arthur Lee will be giving tips on the use of paints with goodie bags and special offers.

Deliveroot will be sharing creative ways to use containers to display house plants.

Detaljer will be offering easy steps to create a sustainable home.

How to use antiques in a modern setting is the theme of a talk at Holly Johnson Antiques.

Sip some fizz whilst discovering a new autumn range at Oka.

Serenity Designs and Morgan Edwards will be offering short talks on selecting the right glass for your wine.

Fabric workshop advice and how to create the perfect mood board will be shared by experts at Sofas & Stuff.

Learn how to style the perfect dining table at Susie Watson Designs.

Matthew Cook of Terzetto Stone said: "We are delighted to be taking part in this event and love the collaboration with the other interior shops.

"We are focusing on tile trends and will be offering two talks, one at 11am and one at 3pm accompanied by drinks and nibbles."Tiles can really change the atmosphere in a room, and we are looking forward to sharing some tile inspiration.”

A full programme can be picked up at any participating shop plus Knutsford Library, The Curzon, Knutsford Railway Station and other shops within the town centre.
