RAIL passengers faced cancellations travelling from some Warrington train stations this morning, Tuesday.
This was due to an emergency incident between Manchester Oxford Road and Liverpool Lime Street which saw a person pronounced dead on the tracks.
Some rail services calling at Warrington Central, Warrington West, Birchwood, Padgate and Glazebrook stations were impacted, with a number of trains cancelled, delayed or replaced with bus alternatives.
Train operator Northern has since confirmed that the disruption caused by the incident has now ended, and services are no longer affected.
A spokesman said this morning: “Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident between Manchester Oxford Road and Liverpool Lime Street, the line is blocked.
“Train services running to and from these stations will be cancelled or delayed by up to 45 minutes.
