> OPINION: Why Chris Hill deserves to be hailed as one of Warrington Wolves' Super League greats

Having joined from Leigh Centurions prior to the 2012 season, Hill has established himself as one of the club's finest forwards of the Super League era.

He helped The Wire to the Challenge Cup in his debut year before captaining them to the 2016 League Leaders' Shield and the 2019 Challenge Cup – the latter as co-captain alongside Jack Hughes.

Warrington Wolves chairman Stuart Middleton added: “I’d like to thank Chris for his hard-work and the commitment he has shown during the past 10 years.

“He hit the ground running after joining as an exciting young forward in 2012 and has grown during his time here, developing in to a top class prop forward.

“There’s been so many fantastic memories and I know how much it meant to him to captain this club for a number of years.

“We wish him all the best at Huddersfield.

“Hopefully he can end his time here on a high with the business end of the season now upon us.”
