FRESH from their main stage performance at Neighbourhood Weekender, The Ks have announced their biggest hometown show to date.

The hotly-tipped Earlestown rockers will be playing a headline gig at the Parr Hall on December 16.

It comes just months after the four-piece joined the Solo Music Agency whose roster features the likes of Beyoncé, U2, Lady Gaga, James and Madonna.

Frontman Jamie Boyle said: "We're absolutely buzzing to be headlining the Parr Hall. After watching bands like The Libertines and the Stone Roses there over the years, it's become such an iconic venue to us and so many others around the town.

"It's something we've wanted to do since way before we were even in a band so we are ecstatic to be headlining it later this year. Tickets will fly and it'll be a night to remember."

The Ks have been making waves since their debut single, Sarajevo, was an instant hit on Spotify in 2017.

Since then they have worked with Alan McGee – the Creation Records icon who launched the career of Oasis – on the release of their track Aurora and won a Northern Exposure competition at the iconic Cavern Club in Liverpool which earned them a slot at InMusic Festival in Croatia in 2019.

Earlier this year they even penned a film soundtrack for the Quadrophenia follow-up, To Be Someone.

It is not the first time that The Ks have played Parr Hall as they were part of a 2017 line-up when Slydigs headlined the Palmyra Square venue to celebrate the fifth anniversary of [WAM], a platform set up to champion the town’s music.

But their headline night 'promises to be a showstopper', said a spokesperson for Parr Hall.

Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday. Visit parrhall.culturewarrington.org or call the box office on 442345.
