A TESTING firm has completed the purchase of new offices at Lingley Mere.
AlphaBiolabs, which is currently based in Westbrook, has completed the acquisition of the 10,817sq ft ‘modern’ building neighbouring United Utilities’ headquarters.
The company specialises in DNA, drug and alcohol testing but has expanded to Covid-related services since the beginning of the pandemic.
Commercial property agent BE Group assisted with the sale of the premises.
Letting agent Simon Roddam said: “This is the third expansion BE Group has assisted AlphaBiolabs with in the last 18 months.
“The company has taken an additional 18,000sq ft of accommodation since the Covid-19 pandemic started in 2020, and it was a pleasure working closely with them to find the right property solution.
“We have seen a significant shift in office enquiry levels in recent months back to pre-pandemic levels.
“A substantial proportion of office occupiers are appraising their space requirements and adopting new ways of working to reduce costs and cater for hybrid working.
“We are clearly pleased to see businesses surviving and thriving in the out-of-town office markets.”
