Ste Milne gave Blues the perfect start at Newcastle, heading home after three minutes.
Debutant Luke Wall doubled the advantage in the 22nd minute after being put clean through.
The hosts pulled a goal back on the stroke of half-time but could not find an equaliser in the second half
