A NEIGBOURHOOD gardener has been praised by residents for ‘lifting their souls’ with his green fingers.
Jeff, of Minerva Close in Latchford, plants flowers in front of his neighbour’s gardens all year round – all out of his own pocket.
He waters, weeds and takes care of them all and the Minerva Close residents believe this year’s are ‘particularly beautiful’ and deserve some recognition.
One resident said: “To leave my front door every morning and see these gorgeous bursts of colour just lifts your soul.
“And to know it's being done by someone purely for the enjoyment of others and for no expectation for anything in return is just so heart-warming.
“When I turn the corner to our little row of houses, the beauty and colour of the flowers is the first thing you see and it can't help but make you smile!”
