ALL but four areas of the town saw their coronavirus infection rates fall over the past week.

It follows the trend of Warrington as a whole, which has steadily been seeing a week-on-week fall in the number of new Covid-19 cases recorded over recent weeks.

Central Warrington was the area with the highest number of cases, although the total number had fallen considerably by 22 from the previous seven-day period.

Meanwhile, Latchford was the area with the largest rise in infections, however this was only by nine cases.

Infection rates are published using Public Health England figures via an interactive map on the Government’s online coronavirus dashboard.

At the time of writing, the map displayed the number and rate of new cases in each area of Warrington in the seven days up to July 31.
