AN £11m care facility, which will be on the site of the former Springbrook pub, will create 80 jobs in Warrington.

The Grappenhall site, where work will start later this year, will be able to offer approximately 80 full-time jobs across a variety of different roles.

The facility will become a 70-bed care home off Knutsford Road on the site of the former Springbrook pub which closed last month.

It will boast fully furnished bedrooms with en-suite wet rooms, communal lounges and dining rooms, spa-assisted bathrooms, a hair salon, nail bar and landscaped front and rear gardens.

It will also provide clinical offerings including residential, nursing and dementia care, with all residents receiving individual person-centred care that is enhanced by a programme of daily activities and trips.

New Care received planning approval for the facility last month and are thrilled with the opportunity.

Chief operating officer at New Care, Cath Fairhurst, commented: “It is incredibly exciting to receive planning permission for this essential new care facility in Grappenhall and we are delighted that our proposal for the scheme was passed by unanimous vote at the Council’s planning meeting.

“With the care crisis continuing to escalate across the UK, we remain committed to bringing our award-winning facilities to areas where there is an established need and we look forward to getting started on site in Grappenhall,” she added.
