SWIMMER James Guy will be going for gold at the Tokyo Olympics with his Great Britain teammates in the early hours of the morning.
The former Cardinal Newman High School student is one part of the Team GB 4x200m freestyle relay team that qualified for tomorrow's final from today's heats in the fastest time.
He is again named in a line-up that also features Tom Dean, who won the individual gold over the same distance this morning, as well as Matthew Richards and Calum Jarvis, with the final scheduled to start at 4.26am.
Guy, who won a Warrington Sports Personality award in recognition of his swimming achievements as a youngster, also studied at Our Lady’s Catholic Primary School when he lived in Warrington.
Since then he has become one of the country's most recognised swimmers, who won two relay silver medals in the Rio Olympics five years ago and has won world and European titles.
