AN author from Birchwood is celebrating the release of his novel on Thursday, July 29, after lockdown gave him the opportunity to write his first book.
After two years of writing, George C. Lesley’s supernatural thriller, Asia, is hit the shelves earlier this week.
The subject choice was down to George’s fascination with ‘strange characters’ that are supernatural without any explanation as to who they are or where they are from.
He was also inspired to write the book after being influenced by writers such as Stephen King and Clive Barker over the years.
The 55 year old said: ‘‘Having my novel 'Asia' published is the realisation of a twenty year ambition and the result of much hard work.
‘‘It's a very exciting time and I'm hoping to get a sequel together soon.’’
Due to the open-ended finale of Asia, George, a business developer, has plans to write a sequel after having some ideas already.
Asia is available now on Amazon and at Waterstones.
