A BUSY veterinary centre is set for a move to a bigger home with the promise of more investment and jobs.
Beech House, on Wilderspool Causeway, has submitted plans to move into the former Branches base just yards away.
The building became empty earlier this year when the furniture store relocated across Warrington.
Now an application has been submitted to Warrington Borough Council for the move.
Planning documents state: "The proposals involve the change of use of an existing retail unit to allow the relocation of Beech House Veterinary Centre from the adjoining (smaller) premises into new more spacious premises.
"The proposal will allow an enhancement of the services provided to the local community from this local veterinary practice.
"It will also enable investment in the local area and the creation of additional jobs.
"The site is in a sustainable and accessible location and the change of use can be achieved without causing any material harm to the character or appearance of the area(indeed, there are no material changes proposed to the
external appearance of the building)."
