THE number of coronavirus patients being cared for at Warrington Hospital has seen another slight rise.
The increase was confirmed this afternoon, Thursday, by Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in its latest Covid-19 briefing.
At present, 24 beds at the Lovely Lane site are occupied by patients that have tested positive for the virus in the past 14 days or less.
Of this number, eight are in the hospital’s intensive care unit.
This is a rise of two patients in total, including one in ICU, since yesterday.

One more patient has been discharged from the hospital after recovering from coronavirus in the past 24 hours.
This brings the trust’s virus discharge total since the start of the pandemic to 2,086.
No new deaths have been recorded over the past day, with the trust’s Covid-19 death toll remaining at 506.
