THE number of patients receiving care at Warrington Hospital after contracting coronavirus has risen slightly over the past 24 hours.
This is according to the latest Covid-19 bulletin released by Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust this afternoon, Wednesday.
At present, 22 patients at the Lovely Lane site are being cared for after testing positive for the virus in the past 14 days or less.
Of this number, seven are in the hospital’s intensive care unit.
This is a rise of five patients in total and three in ICU since yesterday, Tuesday.

However, two more patients were discharged in the past 24 hours after recovering from coronavirus.
This takes the hospital’s Covid-19 discharge total since the start of the pandemic to 2,085.
No new deaths have been recorded, with the trust’s virus death toll remaining at 506.
