ANOTHER patient has died at Warrington Hospital after contracting coronavirus.
The sad news was announced this afternoon, Tuesday, by Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in its daily Covid-19 briefing.
If follows the deaths of two patients over the weekend after they tested positive for the virus.
As a result, the hospital trust’s coronavirus death toll has now risen to 506.
As of this afternoon, 17 beds at the Lovely Lane site are occupied by patients that have tested positive for Covid in the past 14 days or less.
Of this number, four are in the hospital’s intensive care unit.

This is a rise of one patient in total and one patient in ICU since yesterday.
On a positive note however, five more patients were discharged in the past 24 hours after recovering from coronavirus.
This takes the hospital’s Covid-19 discharge total since the start of the pandemic to 2,083.
