A MOTORIST has died after a serious crash on the M6 near Lymm yesterday, Thursday, afternoon.
Cheshire Police have confirmed the driver died at the scene and three other people received what are believed to be minor injuries.
Three lorries were involved in the collision on southbound carriageway between junction 20, Lymm Interchange, and junction 19, Knutsford.
The incident happened around 12.40pm.
Both carriage ways were shut to assist emergency services whilst six fire engines attended the scene.
The northbound carriageway reopened yesterday afternoon and the southbound reopened this morning, Friday.
The closure resulted in huge queues through Warrington.
