WARRINGTON has reached another devastating milestone in its fight against coronavirus.
Two more patients at Warrington Hospital have died after testing positive for Covid-19.
The sad news was confirmed by Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in its daily Covid briefing.
It means that the trust’s virus death toll has now surpassed 500 and now sits at 501.
As of this afternoon, Wednesday, the Lovely Lane site is caring for 12 patients that have tested positive for coronavirus in the past 14 days.

Of this number, three are currently in the hospital’s intensive care unit.
Since the start of the pandemic, a total of 2,040 patients have been discharged from the hospital after recovering from Covid-19.
