WARRINGTON Hospital has seen a fall in the number of patients it is caring for after they contracted coronavirus.
The positive update was issued this afternoon, Wednesday, by Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
On Monday, 12 beds at the Lovely Lane site were occupied by patients that had tested positive for Covid-19 within the past 14 days or less.
Of this number, three were in the hospital’s intensive care unit.
Today however, this number has fallen to seven and one respectively.

Since the start of the pandemic, 2,030 patients have been discharged from Warrington Hospital after recovering from coronavirus.
The trust’s Covid death toll remains at 499.
