ALL but six areas of the town saw a rise in coronavirus infection rates this past week.

The data correlates with a surge in new Covid-19 cases both in Warrington, Cheshire and indeed the country.

Three areas of Warrington saw the number of infections rise to double digits for the first time in months, coinciding with the recent easing of lockdown restrictions.

Five areas recorded fewer than three coronavirus cases, with the number withheld to protect the identity of those who tested positive, while Oakwood and Gorse Covert saw a fall in new cases by one.
